Join us for an evening of food, drinks, fun, and the chance to celebrate local entrepreneurs! 

Taste of Microfinance is a celebration in the form of a cocktail party and food tasting event featuring cuisine from renowned chef entrepreneurs, all of whom used an Opportunity Fund loan to grow their business!

With a hosted bar and a global menu featuring talented chefs, the night is fun and the purpose is clear: we'll come together to support the next generation of entrepreneurs in Los Angeles-ensuring everyone has access to the funds and advice they need to close the gap between a dream and an opportunity.

Chef Jorge of Los Balcones:
Taste authentic Peruvian cuisine with modern flair from L.A.’s preeminent Peruvian restaurant.

Chef Takuma of Takuma's Burgers:  Chef Takuma flips high-quality burgers, ranging from classic to creative to Japanese-inspired, from his popular L.A. food truck.

Chef Lia of World Empanadas: Family-owned and operated, World Empanadas proudly serves Argentine empanadas with a Southern California twist.

Chef John of CJ Wings: Step up to the plate with CJ’s famous wings, served hot, fresh, and with a sauce so secret only four people know the recipe!

Chek Kei of Sugarbird Sweets and teas: It’s always time for teatime! Chef Kei’s delicious little scones and tea are a perfect, sweet palate cleanser.

Chefs Natasha and Freya of Coolhaus: Fun-flavored ice cream scoops on cookies make for delicious ice cream sandwiches, plus they’re Coolhaus-certified Farchitecturally (Food + Architecture)-sound.

Chef Ricky of Ricky's Fish Tacos: Taste what all the rage is about. We’ll serve up Ricky’s famous fish tacos on fresh corn tortillas with cabbage, homemade crema, and pico de gallo salsa.
